Link to blog: A Beautiful Mess

I absolutely ADORE the company Red Velvet Art. Elsie Flannigan, owner and founder of the store, has a wonderfully inspirational blog, A Beautiful Mess. Basically, Elsie and her artistic partners in crime are living my dream!

I've been doing random doodles in a Moleskine sketch book Mom got me for my birthday. Yes, they're weird, and so am I, but, so what??

Chow Down!

This frozen yogurt is delicious! Not only does it have organic ingredients (no CORN SYRUP), but it only has 120 calories per half cup, and contains live active cultures that are awesome for digestive health (S. THERMOPHILUS, L. BULGARICUS, L. ACIDOPHILUS, BIFIDUS, AND L. CASEI). I love Stonyfield products!

Awesome Weekend!

Wonderful weekend! I visited the Regional Farmers Market and got some beautiful produce and flowers, and one of my best friends Abby came for a visit! Can't the weekend last longer?

Mother's Day Invites

Mammol's Card

Mom's Card

Aunt Loretta's Card

Mother-in-law's Card
I illustrated these invitations and invited my favorite ladies down to celebrate Mother's Day!

Feelin' Fruity?

I am head over heels for the Satsuma fragrance at The Body Shop. It's a lovely, tangy, citrusy bliss! It seems unfair to simply call it's like an orange mated with Spring! Every time I get a whiff of myself I feel refreshed. I think even my grapefruit was jealous of my delightful citrus fragrance this morning at breakfast. You must try it!

Artist Spotlight

Yesterday I "stumbled" upon the work of an amazing artist, Jessica Hische. Her specialty is creating fonts, letters, and absolutely beautiful designs! At the young age of 26, she has already worked for a major agency in NYC and has gone to full-time freelance! She is a definite inspiration for me. Check out her work!

Birds of a Feather...

Two birds decided to have a family in the bird house my grandpa made me. On this fine Spring afternoon I came armed with a glass of champagne, a Janet Evanovich book, and my camera, and patiently waited for the bird to bring some little green grubs to their babies. Tough work, but someone has to do it!

Collection #2

My husband and I have quite the bobble-head collection. It was kind of by accident, but we really get a kick out of them!

Springy Saturday

What a lovely spring Saturday! I visited a local nursery (top), made an herb garden (middle) with basil, sage, thyme, oregano, and cilantro, and chilled with Murphy (bottom). I hope spring sticks around for a while!

Honey in the Jar-O

I bought a giant JAR of honey at the store! Awesome! Everything is better in a jar.

Florida Sunshine

I took a 4 day hiatus for a spring break trip with the girls. We stayed at the Postcard Inn at St. Pete's Beach (right outside of Tampa). It was beautiful!

I poured a bunch of water into one of my plants, and apparently I disturbed an art farm that moved in this winter! They were everywhere!

Young Buds

Murphy's best bud came in for a visit! They reveled in all the new spring smells and colorful plants at the park, and ended their day with a sunset nap.

Field Trip

Today my mom and I visited an Alpaca farm that belongs to my friend Pat. They are such gentle, sweet creatures! Their fur is super thick and oh so soft. It is used to make yarn and is quite valuable. They make humming noises, and are very clean animals. I love their teeth! It was a really awesome experience!

Murphy (my dog) and Turner (mom's dog, AKA T-Bone) are a force to be reckoned with. They absolutely adore each other! I love being around these two; not only are they cute, but their antics keep a constant smile on my face. A day with these guys always ends in a long puppy nap!

Collection #1

I randomly started putting fruit and veggie stickers on this notepad on the fridge. It's become quite the little collection! Do you take time to enjoy produce stickers?
