While going through some old photos I took in 2005, I re-discovered these pics I took at an antique store in Point Pleasant, WV. I've always loved them, I think they look like glass tunnels. Hope everyone has a nice Fall weekend and Happy Halloween!

It's no secret that I LOVE jars. Especially jars with a unique pattern or vintage style. Much to my husband's chagrin, I also like to collect food jars (peanut butter, salsa, etc.). As long as it's "cleanable," meaning I won't smell any remnants of the contents OR see any leftover sticker scum, I soak it, scrub it, and save it. Jer is always asking me, "What in the world are you going to do with all these jars?" So, I thought a new feature of the blog could be suggestions for re-using jars! For example, in the November issue of Whole Living, an article suggests using the good old jar as a container for family heirlooms! Check it out! Let me know if you have any unique uses for jars...

I enjoy rainy days. Not only is it good for nature, it's the perfect setting for a cozy day at home...well unless you're at work like I am. Luckily, imagination can solve that issue. The following photos represent my rainy daydream...
Comfy pajamas are essential.
A cup of hot herbal tea.
A handmade afghan to wrap up in.
An easy read.
Last but not least, a blazing fire.

I love these adorable dog costumes from All-Mighty. Murphy would hate me...
A beautiful vintage stamp collection featured on 100 Layer Cake.
I'm DYING to try the pizza at Comet Ping Pong in Washington, D.C. I saw it featured on an episode of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, and my stomach has been grumbling ever since! Nearly all their ingredients are fresh and local...from Farm to Table!
I am SO inspired by the HGTV show, Sarah's House. The show follows Sarah as she completely renovates a home, room by room. Currently, she's working on an old farmhouse. She has an incredible talent at pairing different patterns, mixing vintage furniture with modern, and adding special details that complete each room.

I went to West Virginia this weekend for a wild and wonderful visit!
I got to hang out with my favorite women in the world!
Aunt Loretta, Mom, and Mammol...They are amazing!
Had great conversation with some best friends!
I always stop to admire the marbles in Tamarack.
I love this painting, dedicated to one of my favorite Bill Withers songs, Grandma's Hands.
It's located in the WV Music Hall of Fame in Tamarack.
And as always...The Three Amigos!

During a leisurely Autumn stroll through my neighborhood, I snapped these photos to document the glorious arrival of Fall. I adore this season, but feel that it's bittersweet, because looming around the corner is the cold and blustery Winter. To everything, turn, turn, turn I suppose! How could we enjoy the splendor of Spring and Fall without the Crazy Heat of Summer and Bone Chill of Winter?
Mother Nature is transforming this tree from the top down.
I wonder if trees get excited for Autumn?
Each day I walk by and enjoy this color palette.
Wouldn't Jer, Murph and I look awesome in this truck?

Mellow Mushroom finally opened! Jer and I headed down Monday, their opening day, and needless to say, I was pumped! The cool thing about MM is that each restaurant is designed differently, and involves lots of artists and ideas. The following photos document this very true, very exciting day.
Esperanza = Best House Dressing Ever
Parmesan Pizza Dough Pretzels with Tomato Sauce
I'm a dork...This is the second Mellow Mushroom Grand Opening I've attended this summer.
(I went to the new MM in Denver, Colorado / July)

I'm excited to announce that this is my 100th post on the blog! I thought long and hard about something special I could do to commemorate this event: draw 100 doodles of things I like, list 100 of my favorite songs, eat 100 M&Ms, or travel to 100 different countries in one day. Needless to say, these ideas got a little bit daunting and overwhelming, so I decided to play it cool with some cute Murphy pics. From now on, I will only be posting new material on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I also want to include some interviews with friends who have blogs and businesses, and some other different stuff.
On another note, tomorrow is John Lennon's birthday... he would have been 70. You have to check out the Google icon today, it's an animation in honor of him (press the play button to activate). He was a wonderful man who still has so much presence and influence. I love his music and admire that he stood up for what he believed in! Thanks for making us all imagine...

My love for Anthropologie is no secret. However, I recently discovered Leifsdottir, which coincidentally is owned by the same company as Anthro! Now, until Project Runway and Anthropologie, I've never been "into" fashion. Now I see some of the clothes on the Leifsdottir website (examples above) and I moan with delight, as if I've just taken a bite out of a chocolate brownie topped with chocolate ganache. Of course, the catch is that some of these outfits cost as much as a monthly car payment. I consider them art and find great inspiration from their colors and forms! Hope you will enjoy them too!

On a rainy September afternoon, I was visited by a fluffy & wet bird. It hadn't rained for weeks and I think the bird was totally enjoying mother nature's shower. He or she stood there and let me have a mini photo session. The following photos document the moment I shared with the fluffy wet bird (story told from bird perspective).
"Ahhh, I think I'll sit by this lovely Kalanchoe plant and enjoy my rainbath!"
"Now this is the life..."
"Why do I get the strange feeling I'm being watched?"
(GASP) "Oh my goodness, I'm being photographed!"
"That is so rude, I haven't had time to fully groom my feathers!"
"Here let me fluff up a bit."
