This is kinda how I feel this morning...tired! It was a productive weekend though! Mom came and helped paint the new place, we cleaned, and Jer and I worked on the patio yesterday...in 70 degree weather! A lot got accomplished this weekend, but now I'm ready to rest! Haha...

I found removable wallpaper! Tempaper has lots of pretty designs and the video makes it look easy! Prices run about $80 for 54 feet. I might have to try this someday!
On another note, this Christmas, I helped the Great Dane Rescue of the Carolinas show off some dogs that needed homes. I ended up hanging with this guy, Ryder, for about 5 hours one day. He is such a sweetie! A nice couple came by and absolutely fell in love with him. I hadn't heard anymore about Ryder or if he got adopted...until the other day!
Here's Ryder in his new home! Looks like he's cozy and comfortable! I'm so happy for him!

We're in the process of moving! Very exciting. We've spent the past few days tearing down some wallpaper in one of the bathrooms and just got a coat of primer on last night. It's hard work, but I enjoy "remodeling" projects, they're very gratifying. Thanks to my sweet husband for all his help!
This is the wallpaper we tore down. I just don't understand wallpaper. It had to be a mess to put up and it was definitely a mess to take down. I've decided I am strictly a paint person...unless I can find mega-super-easy-removable wallpaper...
This is the wallpaper in the master bath. I initially wanted to tear it down, but it's grown on me a bit. Not to mention another wallpaper project makes me cringe. Plus, it reminds me of the wallpaper in the Greenbrier Resort.
All this wallpaper has me thinking about the Charlotte Perkins Gilman story, The Yellow Wallpaper. I love that one!

Happy Friday! Some fun stuff I found recently...
I love this blog, Eat Drink Chic, by "former graphic designer turned professional style blogger," Australian, Amy Moss. She posts the coolest stuff. Plus, I LOVE Australian design.
Directions for making your own spiced Chai concentrate? Yes, I think so! Can't wait to do this!
Traveling on a budget? Well this cool little gadget let's you enter your budget, desired length of time, and when you want to go on vacation and finds the best flight and hotel deals for you! It also lists things you could do at each location. Pretty fun!

I was in San Jose, CA for work last week. I didn't get to do much sightseeing, but I loved how green everything was, and the line of beautiful mountains always in the distance.
I couldn't resist this airplane shot. I love the "sea" of fog behind this giant mountain.
Checked out some guitars with my man!

Thought I'd post a hodge-podge of holiday pics and sum it up!
I made my first flower arrangement from scratch. It was really fun!
Mom and I baked these Red Velvet Swirl Brownies to share with family and friends. They are AMAZING and are basically cheesecake brownies.
Turner the Elf. Can't you just feel his excitement?
I had the best peel and eat shrimp EVER at the Shuckin' Shack...Can't wait to return!
Baby had her first ferry ride!
Homemade Creme Brulee by Mom! Delicious!
Christmas at the beach ROCKS!

After a flight cancellation, I'm stuck in San Jose, CA for one more day...
This Christmas, my grandparents surprised me with this camera! I've been wanting a pocket-sized camera b/c I don't like to take my big one everywhere. It takes really great pics and I LOVE the color!!
My sweet hubby surprised me with a Kindle for Christmas! This thing is my new best friend. It's soooo easy to get new books and it allows you to read samples of those you're not sure about. I'm going to go broke with this one, haha!

Santa thought I was pretty good this year! OK, MOM thought I was good. What's in that big box you ask? A sewing machine! I'm so excited! It's my first, and learning to sew is one of my goals this year!
Lucky for me I have a mom who majored in Home Economics (Family and Consumer Sciences) and is a talented seamstress. She gave me my first lesson!
I'm totally sewing! I need to think of a name for my machine. I'm still getting to know her so I'll come up with something eventually.
First project COMPLETE! I made two produce bags to take to the grocery store instead of using the plastic bags. This was a really fun and easy project. Next up, pillowcase!

My computer still isn't fixed! Here are some interesting finds I've come across this week.
I really love her blog and creative work. She does a lot of graphic design and is getting into fabrics. Inspiring!
Really incredible microscopic photos!

Happy New Year! It's been so long since my last post. Besides the fact that I've been crazy busy this holiday season, the main reason for my absence is that my computer died. It's still dead and awaiting assistance. Who knows when I'll be able to post all of the wonderful photos I've taken over the past few weeks? In the meantime, this is a shot of my mom's dog, Baby, sporting a knitted baby hat at Christmas. That's my Mammol holding her. So cute!
